Goal of this Lesson:
Use Elementor to build a simple, high-impact homepage and sales page that introduces your course, builds trust, and drives people toward buying.
🎯 Why These Pages Matter
Your homepage and sales page are the front doors of your business.
They need to:
- Show what your course is about
- Build trust with potential buyers
- Lead people to take action (join your list or buy)
The best part?
You can build both pages without any code, using only Elementor and a few proven layout strategies.
🖼️ Step 1: Plan Your Homepage
Your homepage should act as a welcome + elevator pitch.
It can include:
- A short intro to what you offer
- A bold headline and subhead
- A call-to-action button (e.g., “See the Course” or “Join the Waitlist”)
- A short benefit section (why it matters)
- Optional: testimonials or credibility boosters
💡 Keep it simple. We’re building a lean homepage — not a cluttered one.
âž• Step 2: Build It in Elementor
- Go to Pages > Add New
Name it something like “Home” - Under Page Attributes, choose:
- Template: Elementor Full Width
- Click Edit with Elementor
- Use the Elementor widgets to add:
- Heading: “Launch Your Course the Smart Way”
- Text Editor: A few sentences about your program
- Button: Link to your sales page or email opt-in
- Spacer or Divider: To add breathing room
- Icons or Images: To reinforce benefits visually
- Keep styling minimal for now — focus on layout and flow
đź’° Step 3: Plan Your Sales Page
This is the page that sells your course. It doesn’t need to be long — just clear.
A simple, effective structure looks like this:
🔹 Headline + Subhead
Communicate the transformation you’re offering.
🔹 Section 1: Problem & Promise
Call out what your ideal student is struggling with — and what’s possible after they take your course.
🔹 Section 2: What’s Inside
Break down the modules or what’s included. Use columns or icons.
🔹 Section 3: Testimonials (optional)
If you have them — great. If not, you can add them later.
🔹 Section 4: Pricing + CTA
Show your course price or payment options. Add a buy now button or link to checkout.
🧱 Step 4: Create Your Sales Page in Elementor
- Go to Pages > Add New
Name it something like “Course” or “Sales Page” - Set the template to Elementor Full Width
Click Edit with Elementor - Use sections and widgets to follow the layout above
- Make sure your CTA button links to your WooCommerce product or FunnelKit checkout page (you’ll create those in a later module)
🧠You can also save this page as a template later and reuse the layout for future courses.
🧪 Step 5: Assign Your Homepage (Optional)
To set your custom homepage as the front of your website:
- Go to Settings > Reading
- Set “Your homepage displays” to A static page
- Select your new “Home” page
Now your custom Elementor homepage shows when someone visits your domain.
âś… What You Should Have Now
By the end of this lesson, you should:
- Have a basic homepage created in Elementor
- Have a working sales page layout
- Know how to build sections using Elementor widgets
- Be ready to connect your CTA to checkout in the next module
