Goal of this Lesson:
Create a clean, beginner-friendly navigation menu that helps visitors find what they need — without clutter or confusion.
🎯 Why Your Navigation Matters
Your navigation bar is like a GPS for your website.
It should guide visitors to the most important pages without overwhelming them.
A cluttered menu = decision fatigue.
A clean menu = higher conversions.
🧠 What to Include in Your Menu (at this stage)
You don’t need 10 menu items.
Start with a simple set like this:
- Home
- Course (or Sales Page)
- Login (optional — if you’re using a course area)
- Contact or Support
As your site grows, you can add:
- Blog
- FAQs
- Account dashboard
- Affiliate link
🧩 Step 1: Create Your Menu
- Go to Appearance > Menus
- Click Create a New Menu
- Name it something like “Main Menu”
- Check the box: Primary Menu (or “Header” depending on your theme)
➕ Step 2: Add Menu Items
- On the left, check the pages you’ve created so far (Home, Sales Page, etc.)
- Click Add to Menu
- Drag and drop them to reorder:
- Home
- Course
- Contact
Click Save Menu when done.
🧪 Step 3: View Your Menu on the Site
Visit your homepage and check the top navigation bar.
Your links should appear — and clicking them should take you to the right pages.
⚙️ Optional: Style the Menu in Astra
Go to Appearance > Customize > Header > Primary Menu (or similar depending on Astra version):
- Change font size or spacing
- Align menu right or center
- Adjust colors for active links and hover effects
Keep it minimal — clean menus convert better.
